Jeff Hern
Council Member in Noblesville, Indiana
Over the course of his career, Jeff Hern has balanced retail sales development and account management with the responsibilities of public service and volunteerism. He recently completed a tenure of close to 25 years as national account manager for Johnsonville Sausage, where he oversaw the multimillion-dollar Kroger account. As head of the Kroger team, Jeff Hern increased sales by nearly 300 percent and became the leading driver of top-line sales for the 2015 and 2017 fiscal years.
In his eighth year of leadership of the Kroger account, Jeff Hern took on the additional role of trustee for Indiana's Fall Creek Township. He lowered municipal taxes each of the years of his tenure and effectively increased the size of the town's food pantry without incurring any cost to the public. Also a key driver of outreach programs, he established a school supply distribution program as well as an initiative that helps all families celebrate the holiday season.
Jeff Hern also has played a key role in the restoration of four cemeteries around the communities of Geist and Fishers. The $193,350 project focused on maintaining the historic headstones, all of which remained in place in deference to the people they memorialized.
In 2016, Jeff Hern ran for and earned the title of council member for Hamilton County. He officially assumed the role in 2017 and now focuses on overseeing all county budgeting and tax decisions.
