I am a teacher, trainer, and writer. I am the owner and founder of The Honorable Classroom and The Honorable Workplace, tutoring and training services that build academic and business excellence while maintaining honor, dignity, and integrity. I also am a freelance editor who works on projects from around the world.
As a teacher and trainer, I derive my inspiration from the martial arts: I teach (coach, really) everything as fair, effective strategies. Through constant practice, students of all ages learn techniques that increase power. This is the essence of my approach.
I practice with Japanese and Chinese sword, and occasionally give workshops on historical sword fighting. The sword is a powerful metaphor that can be deployed in many subjects.
Though I have a PhD in English, I began college as a math major, switching to philosophy for my first degree. I believe that literacy in both science and the humanities is essential in the 21st century.
Originally a ballroom dancer and teacher, for the last seven years I have practiced Flamenco dancing. I've just taken a break from the art.
