Jeff Levin-Scherz

Jeffrey Levin-Scherz, MD MBA FACP Assistant Professor Harvard School of Public Health Jeff Levin-Scherz is an Assistant Professor at the Harvard School of Public Health, where he teaches courses on Provider Payment and Managing Health Care Costs. In addition, he blogs (www.managinghealthcarecosts.blogspot.com) and is a frequent national speaker. His writing has been published in the Harvard Business Review, JAMA and Health Affairs.

Jeff became the Chief Medical Officer of One Medical (www.onemedical.com) as of March 1, 2012. One Medical is a venture-funded high touch primary care medical practice currently in San Francisco, New York and Washington DC and positioned to expand nationally. He has previously been a senior consultant with Towers Watson, where he led national efforts to improve value in health care purchasing. He was Chief Medical Officer of a large integrated delivery network (Partners Community Health Care) and a large multispecialty group (Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates and Atrius Health). He was a Vice President of Tufts Health Plan, and is a past President of the Mount Auburn Cambridge Independent Practice Association.

Jeff has an MD from Boston University School of Medicine and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
