As the director of the Air University’s Fairchild Research Information Center on the Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama, Jeff Luzius oversaw a staff of 28 librarians and 29 other organizational employees. He also managed the Center’s $1-million annual operating budget and $6-million annual payroll. Before leaving the center in 2017, Jeff Luzius served as an elected member at large of the Association of Southeastern Research Libraries board of directors and sat on seven Process for Accreditation of Joint Education onsite review teams.

Dr. Luzius joined the Air University in 2008 after serving three years as director of libraries with Gadsden State Community College in Gadsden, Alabama. This position placed him in charge of daily operations of four different libraries on separate campuses, as well as a college duplication center.

A current resident of Midland, Michigan, Jeff Luzius enjoys getting into the wilderness to hike and camp. He is also an avid golfer.
