Los Angeles, CA

Jeff Marine, the 2004 Fashion Industries Guild Man of the Year, continues to enjoy a successful career as a clothing manufacturer executive. As the Chief Executive Officer and President of JEM Sportswear, which makes clothes for men, and Awake Inc., which produces apparel for women, Marine provides many of the most well-known companies in the world with trendy T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, dresses, tank tops, and more. In addition, Jeff Marine keeps his businesses moving forward through a number of production initiatives.

Jeff Marine has expanded operations by purchasing a production warehouse in Ensenada, Mexico. Encompassing 100,000 square feet, the facility employs 500 professionals who operate more than a dozen printing machines that can produce 14 different colors. Additionally, these printers can generate 2 million impressions every month. The Ensenada location also houses state-of-the-art fabric-dyeing equipment capable of processing 10,000 pounds daily.

Aside from this manufacturing warehouse, Jeff Marine's companies have developed partnerships with factories in El Salvador and Guatemala that create private-label clothing for large chain stores like Target and Wal-Mart. Each facility, including the one in Ensenada, adheres to rigid standards for quality and production; moreover, each has undergone audits from key licensors and distributors.

A committed member of his community, Jeff Marine currently lends his leadership expertise to a number of organizations. In addition to participating as a member of the Board of Directors for Northridge, California-based Heschel Day School, which he has done for more than 15 years, he maintains a similar position with the Young Presidents' Organization Los Angeles chapter. Additionally, he sat on Magic's Board of Directors for five years. To learn more about the Awake and JEM Sportswear brands, visit www.jemsportswear.com.
