Jeffrey Parnes
Born in the Bronx, NY, moved to Flushing with my family when I was two. Active in Boy Scouts (Eagle with a Palm, attended two Jamborees), went to Francis Lewis High School (a two-bus commute) and then to Syracuse University where I met Daria, my wife. Active in Alpha Phi Omega where most of my longtime friendships started. Drove a yellow NY taxi to help pay for college. After a few preliminary jobs started training as a Quality Assurance Specialist for the Defense Department in NY; they moved me to Atlanta, where I found out that the rest of the US isn't like NY. After five years there and two kids, relocated to Fairfax Va (where I've been now for over half my life). Became an active member of my community association, served as treasurer and president, served as district council president, served as county federation president for three terms, appointed to multiple county task forces and commissions. Left the government service and worked for many government contractors in the DC metro area. Served on the board and as webmaster for multiple professional organizations. Exchanged homes with family in France, now travel the world with them - Iceland, Italy, Spain, Australia, etc. Have two grown kids of whom I'm very proud and a wonderful wife. I'm a lucky guy!
