Jeffrey Soffer

One of the real estate industry’s most dynamic and prominent developers, Jeffrey Soffer has been a key influence in Turnberry Associates’ phenomenal growth. During the past two decades, he’s significantly enhanced the company’s South Florida imprint, while overseeing an expansion across the United States and into the Caribbean.

Soffer directed a massive reinvention of Turnberry’s Fontainebleau Miami Beach, restoring and expanding the famed oceanfront resort into one of the world’s most dynamic destinations. Originally envisioned by architect Morris Lapidus, the Fontainebleau now includes more than 1,500 rooms, a dozen restaurants and lounges, Lapis spa, LIV nightclub, and a magnificent poolscape overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Soffer also developed several of South Florida’s most renowned upscale residential developments, including Porto Vita, the Tresor and Sorrento towers at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Turnberry Ocean Colony, Oceania V, and many more. In Las Vegas, he created Turnberry Place, the first condominium enclave on the Strip, and The Residences at MGM Grand, three 40-story condominium-hotel towers at the MGM Grand property. Soffer also brought Turnberry high-rise living to Northern Virginia with Turnberry Tower and the world-renowned Atlantis, Paradise Island in The Bahamas.

Now, Jeffrey Soffer is launching Turnberry Ocean Club, a 52-story luxury residential tower in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, expected to break ground in early 2015, and the JW Marriott Nashville hotel.

Soffer also directs Turnberry’s hospitality and commercial divisions, including Turnberry Isle Miami, a Mediterranean-style retreat with a culture of authenticity, spirited service and enriching experiences, Hilton Nashville Downtown, a 330-suite hotel located in the heart of “Music City,” and Country Club Center, a 10-story, Class “A” office tower redefining business excellence in Aventura, Florida.

Soffer’s philanthropic commitments include The United Way of Miami-Dade and The United Way Center for Excellence and Early Education, for which he is a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable, along with the Bowery Mission in New York City.
