Jeffrey Alan Parrish

Caring for patients in Springfield, Illinois, Jeffrey Alan Parrish works within Blessing Hospital’s skilled nursing unit and has an extensive knowledge of the rehabilitation process following surgery. Jeffrey Alan Parrish’s range of expertise spans coronary interventions and diagnostics, and he is experienced in situations involving the use of life-sustaining devices such as pacemakers and automatic internal cardiac defibrillators.

Mr. Parrish’s background extends to more than 15 years at St. John's Hospital as a procedural registered nurse. Working as part of the Prairie Heart Institute team, his efforts helped ensure that the Springfield facility achieved recognition as among the country’s top 50 hospitals for cardiovascular treatment. His role included mentoring cath-lab nurses who joined the Institute, and he oversaw procedures such as stent graft placements and pulmonary vein isolation ablations. He has presented on a number of topics in his field, including techniques of carotid stenting.

Beyond the medical setting, Mr. Parrish is a home improvement enthusiast who has undertaken major projects requiring excavation, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical wiring knowledge. He holds a BS from the Mennonite College of Nursing and an MBA earned at Benedictine University in Springfield.
