In his most recent role as athletic director at New York's (NY) North Tonawanda City School District, Jeffrey "Jeff" Alger was responsible for scheduling events and overseeing an athletic budget for 32 sports teams and more than 70 coaches. During his four years in the position, Jeffrey Alger played a role in the design process of a new multi-sport stadium and collaborated with school officials on a $20-million capital improvement project to update athletic fields. He also implemented district-wide programs like FamilyID, Schedule Galaxy, and Master Library.

Previously, Jeffrey Alger served as director of health, physical education, and athletics as well as assistant principal at a school in the Schoharie Central School District. With more than 20 years of combined experience in the education sector and spent 13 of those years as a physical education teacher at Webster Central School District.

In addition to his roles with various NY school districts, Jeff Alger is a member of the NYS Council of Administrators, Student-Athlete Development Committee for NYS, and the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, among other professional organizations. He holds a master's in education from Nazareth College and a bachelor's in the subject at the State University of New York (SUNY).
