Jeffrey Armington
Currently working as an attorney in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jeffrey Armington received his undergraduate education in the same city, earning his Bachelor of Science from The University of Utah. He subsequently began studying at the Duke University School of Law in North Carolina. Armington excelled academically, also serving as Junior Staff Editor and Executive Editor for the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law and Public Policy. After he received his Juris Doctor in 2009, Jeffrey Armington accepted a fellowship from the Public Interest Law Institute, working at the Center for Conflict Resolution, a Chicago-based nonprofit now more than 30 years old. Throughout that summer, Armington acted as a certified mediator for the Daley Center in downtown Chicago, managing cases and researching for numerous related writing projects. In the fall of 2009, Jeffrey Armington accepted an associate attorney position with Kirkland & Ellis LLP, an international commercial law firm. During his two years at the firm’s Chicago office, he represented clients such as the Chicago Newspaper Liquidation Corp. and Innkeepers USA Trust. Armington's responsibilities ranged from drafting documents to coordinating the resolution of restructuring cases. After nearly two years with Kirkland & Ellis, Armington returned to Utah, accepting a position at Dorsey & Whitney LLP as a Finance and Restructuring Associate. He focuses primarily on bankruptcy litigation, representing both debtors and creditors.
