Jeffrey Jampel

A member of the Massachusetts Psychological Association, Jeffrey Jampel serves as a consultant to the Massachusetts Disability Determination Service, an agency serving disabled persons. He also serves as a consultant to the Carroll Center for the Blind, one of the country's preeminent organizations providing services to blind and visually impaired individuals. His primary professional setting is a private psychotherapy practice in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Dr. Jampel is a seasoned practitioner with decades of experience. He offers a perspective developed over many years to people at various stages of life, ranging from adolescents to seniors. His orientation is eclectic and active with foundations in psychodynamic and interpersonal theory.

Jeffrey Jampel began laying the groundwork for his career at Queens College of the City University of New York; he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He went on to attend Boston University, earning a Master of Arts in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Clinical and Community Psychology. During this time and subsequently, he trained and/or worked at a variety of institutions and agencies, including the Boston Veterans Administration Hospital, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Youth Services, and the Beth Israel Hospital.
