That's my dog and excellent companion Dash, as in Dashiell Hammett, the American author of hard-boiled detective novels and short stories. It's a good placeholder while I find a photo of myself that's suitable (although he's way more handsome than me and I might leave it there).

I do marketing work and write articles for a living. I'm particularly interested in researching and writing about Canadian military history. I've authored and co-authored several best-selling books, and done some other things.
