My name is Jeff Schilling, I did not initially set out to become an insurance agent. However, when researching the subject in order to purchase health insurance for myself and my family I was shocked that there was not a simple “how to book” about purchasing health insurance already available. So I did the research myself and what I discovered was a wealth of untapped information, a lot of scary stories, and I was bombarded by questions from friends who were also confused and curious about the whole process of buying health insurance.

Starting my own company was something I was very familiar with since I have done it before, however I was not as familiar with buying health insurance. I knew as much as I needed to know in order to select the options offered by my employer but knew little about the details or buying it myself. In fact I was a little overwhelmed by the process and the idea that it was going to cost a fortune to insure my family. My wife and I have heard so many scary stories about people buying health insurance and then not being covered when something happened or even worse choosing to go without health insurance altogether. And then there are the scams, unfortunately we experienced one of those first hand.

Now, my Mission is to educate consumers on health insurance, to dispel myths and lies, and to empower consumers to confidently buy and use health insurance to their advantage whether they buy it themselves or choose from employer plans while working or in retirement. Over the past 35 years, I have had the pleasure of guiding people from all walks of life, truck drivers like my son to rock stars like the late Rick Derringer to the best policy for their particular needs, year after year.

Today, a large part of my work is helping people navigate Medicare as they approach 65 and helping existing Medicare beneficiaries understand their coverage and choices. My goal isn't simply to help someone choose a plan. It's to help them understand what they're buying, why it may be appropriate for them, and what to watch out for along the way.
