Jeff Weissman | Attorney

Experienced attorney Jeff Weissman has made numerous contributions to the field of family and marital law in Florida. An active participant on several bar association committees, Weissman has fought for the establishment of new legal statutes at the state level. He has proven himself to be a passionate advocate for the advancement of family law issues on all fronts. One of Jeff Weissman’s most notable legislative successes was the Parental Relocation Law, Section 61.13001.

Weissman authored the law, which took effect in 2006. He has also participated in the development of many other legal reforms. A member of The Florida Bar since 2003, Jeff Weissman currently serves as an Executive Council Member with the Family Law Section. He previously participated in a number of other committees, including the family law rules committee and the bench/bar liaison committee. Weissman has also co-chaired the legislation committee and the Florida Bar Journal committee, for which he served as an editor and commentator.

Jeff Weissman has fulfilled similar roles with other professional organizations. For instance, he is a member of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Broward County Bar Association and is a past President of the Family Law Section of the Broward County Bar Association.

He focuses exclusively on family and marital law, with a special interest in complex cases.
