My dad bought me that blue polyester suit at JCPenney for my 8th grade graduation. I remember the fabric felt weird and the tie was choking me, but hey, I felt sharp. Those were the days of growing up in a master-planned community in the land of suburbia, where safety was defined by your cul-de-sac, the affluent folks were plentiful, and the American Dream was a pride-filled pursuit.
Today life is quite different for me, and that's a good thing.
