Cultural Architect Bridging Brands, Music & Real-World Communities
Los Angeles • 20+ Years in Live Events & Grassroots Marketing • Documenting Culture Since the Late ’90s
Jelani Kimble is a Los Angeles–bred cultural architect who’s spent his life where music, community, and real-world energy collide. From documenting live shows since the late ’90s to helping brands tap into the heartbeat of the streets, his work lives at the intersection of culture and execution.
He’s the founder of We Live This Ent., a boutique activation and experiential marketing firm built on relationships, trust, and knowing how audiences actually move — not how spreadsheets say they should. Whether it’s a grassroots campaign, a concert rollout, or a brand stepping into culture for the first time, Jelani brings the translator mindset: making corporate goals resonate in authentic spaces without losing the soul.
Jelani also created Da ILL Spot, a long-running platform dedicated to spotlighting independent artists and preserving moments that might otherwise fade. Through decades of shows, footage, and storytelling, he’s become both a participant in and a historian of the scenes that shape Los Angeles and beyond.
At the center of everything is a simple philosophy: culture isn’t a trend to chase — it’s a community to respect. His work is about building moments that feel real, leave a mark, and move people long after the lights go down.
Let’s build something meaningful.
