Upon graduation from Hampton University, Ashley commissioned as a officer in the United States Army Reserve where she gained valuable leadership experience. Ashley also took on a marketing position with Momentum Agency before transitioning to Pepsico Inc as a district manager for 3 years where she honed in on people management, customer service skills, and business acumen. Deciding it was time to move on to a career that she was destined for, she made a bold move to switch industries in a entrepreneurial spirit and found a non-profit organization. But not before traveling and volunteering with nonprofits of 12 countries in 1 year totalling 25 countries traveled overall. Combining the knowledge and skills she has developed over time with the bountiful resources from her network of peers from university and traveling the world, Ashley is confident in the establishment and longevity of Jelani Girls Inc.
