Jelisa Beaty
Jelisa Beaty is a social media and marketing specialist with experience working for companies in both the US and the UK. Jelisa has been specializing in social media strategies, content creation and project/campaign management since 2010.Jelisa has a B.A. in Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also has a M.B.A with a marketing concentration from Kaplan University and she is currently working on a Master’s in Public Administration at Kaplan University. She is also a member of the Social Media Club (http://socialmediaclub.org/). Jelisa has served as an employee volunteer during her time at Enterprise in 2009 for the “Enterprise Cares” initiative. In this project, she worked with 20 other employees and went out to liven up gardens in an inner city neighborhood in the Chicagoland area. She also worked as a project leader/volunteer at Exelon Corp. for her Senior Vice President's National Volunteer Week Initiative. As the project lead, she worked hand in hand with the SVP of Customer Operations to plan an event for a non-profit children’s museum. She recruited and managed a group of 20 volunteers to paint classrooms & exhibits for the science and technology museum. She also volunteered at an elementary school in Chicago as an Exelon career panelist. During this volunteer project, she spoke to 6th and 7th graders about her career in social media, her educational background and the importance of higher education.
