John Ellway
John currently works with architect James Russell. Together, they design and build residential and small commercial projects in South East Queensland.
He has an extensive background in architectural graphic design, product communication & web design working for a number of retail & multi-disciplinary design companies in Australia and the UK. He was educated at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University, studying a Bachelor of Design (3D) and later at the University of Queensland completing a Bachelor of Architectural Design. He is currently studying for a Master of Architecture at UQ.
While working for Minale Tattersfield in Australia and the UK, John designed and managed wayfinding, signage & interior solutions for a large number of state and local governments, developers and corporate clients and has worked in collaboration with many interior designers, architects and urban planners .
He has completed projects for Queensland Transport, Transport for London, Lexus Europe, Infiniti Europe, Gazprom Energy (Russia), Queensland Museum, Lend Lease, Brisbane City Council, Brisbane Water, Brisbane Powerhouse, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Griffith University, IKEA, Citimark Property, & Beaudesert Shire Council.
