in light of whats going on across the country with law enforcements use of excessive and deadly force against african americans, a subject in the black community thats been a major problem for many of years and our cries are never heard. Now that we're in the age of technology you would think, Finally give us some sense of balanced justice with cell phones and video cameras everywhere but as you can see law officers are immune ,especially in the case with black individuals .The other side of the coin is its very easy to have a black man indicted and convicted even when there is no facts. all it takes is a cops word.they lie to elude justice and they lie to have us incarcerated.i've learned the hard way even a cops unsupported lies will suffice.I writing to you because I'm an example of the stark contrast of the justice system that we as african americans are forced to deal with in our lopsided justice system. my story deals with a town in conn. that is notoriously known for its racial insensitivity, as matter of fact, rev jesse jackson had to pay the town a visit in 2000. It attracted national attention for refusing to make Dr. King's birthday an official holiday.He was met there by some supporters and about a dozen members of white supremacist groups, some wearing white sheets and waving large Confederate flags. My story has to do with their police dept. I was arrested for a crime that i was a victim of . I know it sounds crazy and thats exactly what it is. This is the letter i wrote to the CT states attorney general office to no avail, I also contacted the Naacp, who is know working with me and the ADL who is also working with me.
