Jem Sirrine is the PGA/ECR team lead for International Customs Clearance at FedEx Logistics in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been part of the organization for almost three years, overseeing various duties, including liaising with government agencies, training new agents, and troubleshooting issues related to high-value shipments. His role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, developing training procedures, and identifying solutions to streamline the clearance process.
Jem’s career began as an athletic training intern with the Cleveland Indians in Winter Haven, Florida, after he earned his bachelor's in athletic training from Appalachian State University. In this role, he assisted with rehabilitating and treating player injuries across both minor and major leagues. Following this internship, he became a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Central Florida, where he completed a Master of Arts in Exercise Physiology.
In 2000, Sirrine worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Winter Park High School, where he coordinated with the Head Athletic Trainer to provide coverage for all varsity and junior varsity sports. His responsibilities included performing pre-practice treatments, supervising athletic training interns, and teaching various health and fitness courses. He later took on the role of Head Athletic Trainer at Warner University in Lake Wales, Florida. In this position, he oversaw 16 varsity sports, managed the department’s budget, and worked with orthopedic surgeons to expand the Sports Medicine team. He also taught courses on Athletic Training, First Aid, and CPR.
Jem continued his career as an Athletic Trainer for Bond Clinic in Winter Haven. He played a key role in growing the orthopedic department, forging new relationships within the community, and expanding partnerships with local schools. He provided athletic training services, conducted patient evaluations, and handled insurance billing for the clinic’s Physical Therapy Department.
For 11 years, Sirrine served as the head athletic trainer at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. He managed a team of certified athletic trainers, oversaw the department’s budget, and worked with various medical professionals to expand the university's Sports Medicine team. He was also responsible for designing new athletic training facilities and continued to teach courses in athletic training and First Aid.
