I'm in my 8th year as the the director of professional development for ADVIS, an association that supports independent schools in the greater Philadelphia region. I started my career in retail advertising and marketing, working for Filene's Department store in Boston, then headed back home to join my family's business, Strawbridge & Clothier, as assistant advertising director. When S&C was sold I was hired to be the director of creative services by GA Communications, an advertising production company, and tasked with launching the creative services division of the company. As my kids entered elementary school, at Montgomery School in Chester Springs, PA, I followed them and ultimately became the director of marketing and communications. My latest move, in July 2011 was to ADVIS, where I am now, developing professional development programming for independent school leaders, and educators and managing the ADVIS website (https://www.advis.org).

I am also an oil painter living in Bucks County, PA and originally from Chester County. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Philosophy from Hamilton College, and after raising my boys while working in advertising and communications, I have been devoting renewed time and energy to my art. I am a member of Artist’s of Yardley, Artsbridge, and New Hope Art League.
