Jen Hanson
I am a teacher. I inspire students and small businesses to push the boundaries of what they can do for themselves and the world around us. I am training the next generation of business leaders.
While teaching is my primary position, I remain a start-up and small business consultant by leveraging 10 years as a entreprenuer and small business owner, plus over 10 years of corporate marketing innovation experience at leading Fortune 500 companies.
Here's how I am making my mark:
1. teaching in colleges and universities so students can better understand the world around them and make their own mark on business and society through information literacy skills;
2. developing programs for colleges and universities that incorporate leading edge tools, techniques, and thinking into the classroom to better prepare students for our ever changing business world;
3. creating transformative systems and processes for small businesses to extract powerful insights and develop ideas that deliver sustainable growth through products and services that are more in sync with customer needs.
My life is in constant flux, or at least that is what it seems to those around me. I don't believe that life should stand still. It should always be moving forward toward goals that are lofty, yet, achievable. We live in a constantly changing world, I am focused on having enough stamina for what will ultimately be a fast paced road ahead – a road with road blocks, pot holes, and sharp curves. If I am going to be successful in this chapter of my life, I have to have the physical and mental strength to achieve it.
“The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide for those who have too little.” (Franklin D. Roosevelt, Second Inaugural Address)
