Keep pushing, stay focused, things I had to consistently remind myself on this journey. It started with me landing a job as a QA Tech for a manufacturing company. Although, I excelled at the company, I felt I needed more to fall back on. I began taking courses at Wake Tech to receive my certificate in Biopharmaceutical Technology. During the program at Wake Tech I became more interested in the field and all it could potentially offer me. Instead of only completing my certificate, I decided to continue the program in pursuit of my AAS in Biopharmaceutical Technology. Along the way I received various scholarships from Wake Tech and other outside affiliates. All of this lead me here at NCCU. I am a Pharmaceutical Science major. So far the research aspect of the industry has peaked my interest the most. During my time here I have conducted labs, created experiments, and tutored. I have one more year here and then hopefully all those late nights and long days will pay off. I am asked all of the time how do I continue this schedule. I typically attend class right after work, take a nap, get up and do it all over again. The schedule is definitely stressful. I try to work-out when I can, travel, enjoy various sporting events. It definitely helps clear my mind.
