While it started ordinarily enough, I've admittedly traveled a bit of a unique career path. When I graduated high school in 1992, I had already begun working a variety of minimum-wage-type jobs (food service, retail, office support, etc.). I was also attending classes at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.

Everything changed, though, with my discovery of this new-fangled thing called the "World Wide Web" in 1995. Within a year of logging on for the first time, I was working full-time from home running my first website.

The term "blog" had yet to be coined at that time, but it is the best descriptor for that first site. Located at jen-dave.com, it was in fact one of the world’s very first financially successful websites!

The first several years in particular were especially lucrative. It was also a time filled with new friends, parties, conventions, and even media appearances. I'll certainly never forget it!

Then in 2005, I gave birth to twin daughters. My lifestyle, of course, changed a bit after that, and while the jen-dave site was actually in operation for over 20 years, I eventually decided it was time to move on.

I have since worked on myriad projects, and have a personal blog/portfolio located at PrettyLightsDesign.com where you can find out more about my work. I would love to find even more challenges to tackle using the skills I've acquired in writing, design, marketing, business management, and more. If you have a project or job that you think I might be right for, please feel free to contact me!

In a way, I feel like I've grown up along with the web. It's been an amazing experience to be a part of it from almost the very beginning. I truly look forward to where we'll go next!
