I direct a team of gender advisors for an international development organization. As a gender specialist and director, I strive to promote gender equality and female empowerment within my organization as well as through our work in countries and projects around the world. My career began in education and has spanned teaching high school to university as well as working in higher education administration, governance, and the international development sector. I enjoy working with people, building relationships and skills, and promoting partnerships and collaboration to benefit communities at home and around the world. I am a writer and amateur photographer. In addition to my academic and professional publications, I have published poetry and keep a blog as a way to share personal observations about my work and travels.
