My practice involves video and photography installations, alongside sculptural work, I am interested in the relationship between still objects and moving images, and how this contrast can influence the impact of a piece. The video pieces that I create exhibit notions of the uncanny. I choose to work in digital art because it is an ever evolving contemporary media. Within project Lazarus I will be collaborating with a fellow digital media artist. Our practices have similarities that have enabled us to successfully collaborate on this large scale mixed media installation. I take inspiration from artists such as Nam June Paik, a pioneer of video art, Paik also explores the relationship of moving image and sculpture to convey meaning.
