Hi! I hope you're well.
I have been teaching first grade in Maracaibo, Venezuela since graduation from Queen's ConEd three years ago. Living and working in an international school showed me the importance of adapting our ongoing learning to student needs, and I began studying ELL education after my first year.
I just began my quarter-life crisis by leaving my career and my life abroad to look after family in the Kingston/Prince Edward County area. I am super excited to spend time with family and be able to go outside, especially for walking and running. I miss volunteering already, so I look forward to finding opportunities to get involved and help out in the community here.
Even though I may not be teaching next schoolyear (yet...), I am passionate about finishing my ELL Specialist so I can keep supporting students when I get back abroad. I am also currently finishing my Masters (maybe even this week!).
