Soprano Jenna Siladie has earned warm acclaim from the typically fastidious New York press ever since her NYC debut with Gotham Chamber Opera in 2014. Ms. Siladie performed the respective leading roles of Popelka and Armande in a double bill production of Bohuslav Martinů's operas Veselohra na mostě(Comedy on the Bridge) and Alexandre Bis. The Wall Street Journal hailed her as "an ebullient soprano with great stage presence" who "sparkled", while the New York Times praised her "endearing" and "sweet voice". The following season, Ms. Siladie returned to the company to cover the role of La Princesa in Montsalvatge's El gato con botas.
Ms. Siladie continues to expand her repertoire with companies around the United States. In August 2016, Ms. Siladie made her company debut with Opera Theatre of Connecticut as Frasquita in Carmen. In March 2016, Ms. Siladie made a joint company and role debut with Little Opera Theatre of New York, in the leading role of Léontine in the US premiere of L'amant anonyme, a chamber opera composed in 1780 by the Chevalier de Saint-Georges. During the summer of 2015, Ms. Siladie joined Opera North for another joint company and role debut as Laurie Moss in The Tender Land as well as covering Maria in West Side Story. Future operatic engagements include her debut engagement with St. Petersburg Opera, covering Adina in their 2017 production of L'elisir d'amore.
A frequent concert and recital soloist, Ms. Siladie joined the Carolina Philharmonic in April 2016 for their "Night at the Opera" program and rejoins them for their annual Education Gala Concert in September 2016. Further concert appearances throughout the United States have seen her in Santa Fe NM, New Haven CT, and with such Florida-based organizations as Florida Lyric Opera, Suncoast Florida Opera Guild, and Vero Beach Opera. She has also appeared in Lieder programs throughout Austria, most notably at Heiligenkreuz Abbey and at Beethoven's residence in Baden bei Wien.
As an emerging artist, Ms. Siladie has gained recognition and encouragement from America's most prestigious operatic institutions. She has fulfilled two seasons of young artist residency with Santa Fe Opera, with whom she sang the soprano soloist in Stravinsky's Le rossignol and covered the leading role of Soong Ching-Ling for the American premiere of Huang Ruo's Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
