My day job is located in the droll, (okay it's actually pretty awesome), vacinity of an engineering office. I bike there occaisionally and pray to God that the soccer mom in the huge SUV behind me won't run me off the shoulder before I reach my destination.
At night, enter my house and you can hear the whirring of a mag-trainer in the background as the boy executes his daily workout. You'll see puppies spazzing out across the living room floor, and if you peep through the archway, you'll see me. Me, in the kitchen, probably in running shorts and a tee or tank of sorts, with a little dew on my forehead left from a post run. I hurriedly grab things from the fridge and prep a meal before getting my well earned shower.
Welcome to my M-F, 08:00 - 21:00. The schedule of the working triathlete.
Nutrition, is probably one of the most important parts of recovery/fueling for the endurance athlete. It is a lesson that I have had to learn the hard way, but was eager to learn. I love cooking and I love eating. So, it was a no brainer.
