Currently a Fashion Merchandising student at the University of Delaware, I aspire to work in a city booming with everything from street fashion to high fashion. Fashion is not just the clothes we wear or the bag we carry, but how we choose to live. What you wear, is who you are, and who you are defines how you are living. Nothing is more important than your life right?
Always being drawn to the industry, I prepped by taking sewing, merchandising, and design classes throughout my high school career. During the summer of 2011 I had an internship at Buffalo David Bitton where I worked with designers, merchandisders, and the PR team. My favorite days at Buffalo, were the days I got to help out in PR. In the future, I hope to work in public relations doing either In House PR or Agency PR. The idea of being able to market the latest fashions in an innovative way is the most appealing part of the industry to me. Kelly Cutrone, famous fashion publicist said, "It’s a lot of fun working in fashion. It’s one of the few businesses that’s 100 percent business and also 100 percent creative, which makes it very special." The people in this industry can have their cake and eat it too. In a job like this, a full stomach can be gaurenteed with all that cake!
