Teaching Spanish has been my passion for many years! I graduated from College of Charleston in 2009, earning my BA in Communication with minors in Spanish and Studio Art. While attending CofC, I also studied abroad in Granada, Spain and taught Spanish as a Peer Teacher. I earned my MAT in Foreign Languages in 2011 at University of South Carolina, where I taught Spanish 109, 210, and 211 courses. While in graduate school, I spent 2 summers volunteering in Cusco, Peru. In 2012, I also became Early Childhood Education certified through courses at USC. From 2011-2012 I worked at Gilbert Primary as the Spanish immersion interventionist and at Gilbert Elementary as the 3rd grade Spanish teacher. From 2012-2014 I worked at Gilbert Primary School as the 2nd grade Spanish immersion teacher. I am the National Network of Early Language Learners (NNELL) for South Carolina and serve on the South Carolina Foreign Language Teachers' Association (SCFLTA) board.

I am originally from Greenville, SC. I have lived in the midlands for almost 6 years now and love how much teaching and learning Foreign Languages is growing in this area, especially for young learners! In my free time I walk my dog, Nelly, read, paint, and spend time with friends and family.
