Jennifer has over 20 years of experience in healthcare in both clinical and non-clinical roles. She began her career as a board-certified anesthesiologist at the University of South Florida and Cleveland Clinic. As an anesthesiologist, she treated surgical and pain patients of all types for over a decade, and was a National Anesthesia Board Review Lecturer on Cardiac Perioperative Assessment.
She then transitioned into consulting roles in medical informatics, healthcare strategy, population health, and digital health. She has led eight electronic health record implementation and optimization teams for academic medical centers nationwide. She has previously worked as a Medical Informatics and Clinical Subject Matter Expert on Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) based projects for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Jennifer has recently led multiple innovative efforts for healthcare data exchange, data interoperability, telehealth, and clinical quality measurement and reporting initiatives.
Jennifer received her Doctor of Medicine from Wright State University, and her Masters of Public Health from the University of South Florida. She currently lives in Lakewood Ranch, Florida and enjoys hiking, making decorative mirrors and jewelry, taking her Papillon dog to parks, and getting together with friends.
