I am a professional museum collections manager, change leader, and best practices innovator. My work puts my hands onto objects in museum collections, but my thinking is always about how those objects can create spaces for cultural exploration and engagement. Most of my major professional projects have involved opening up the collections care and preservation process for the public to see. Museums are cultural spaces, not temples, so when a community feels connected to a collection, a sense of place begins to take shape. I am also a maker and doer and am currently a designer and creator of custom jewlery and wearables, which have a decidedly off-beat and artistic character.
