Jennifer McPherson recently graduated from Oberlin Conservatory of Music with a Master of Music degree in Historical Performance. While at Oberlin, she studied organ with Jonathan Moyer and harpsichord with Webb Wiggins. She graduated cum laude from College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA, as Organ Scholar of the class of 2013. At Holy Cross, she was the recipient of a full-tuition scholarship and studied with James David Christie.

As a recitalist, Jennifer McPherson has performed throughout New England and the Cleveland, Ohio area. In the summer of 2014, she was featured on the Organ Recital Series at the Methuen Memorial Music Hall in Methuen, MA. She has performed as organist on concert tours of Ireland and Prague with the Boston College University Chorale under music director John Finney. She has also performed as a free-lance organist with the Newton Choral Society and the Heritage Chorale.

At the age of 21, Jennifer was awarded Third Prize in the 2012 International Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck Organ Competition in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In the summer of 2013, she won First Prize in the AGO Quimby Region I competition in Hartford, CT and was featured as a Rising Star soloist at the National AGO Convention in Boston, MA in June 2014. This past spring, Jennifer performed alongside several other Oberlin musicians at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Most recently, she performed with Oberlin Baroque at the 2015 Boston Early Music Festival. Jennifer is currently employed as Music Department Intern at Church of the Covenant in Cleveland, Ohio.
