I learned to sew as a very young girl. I would dig through my mom's fabric and come up with my own creations. This would keep me entertained for hours and luckily my mom didn't seem to mind. My sewing machine got put on the back burner while I raised my family. I would occasionally dig it out to sew a costume, make something for my home, or mend an item.
About five years ago, I started making mittens for friends and family. I loved shopping at thrift stores for the wool sweaters and putting together all the different colors and textures that wool has to offer. Everyone seemed to be thrilled and kept asking for more mittens as they wanted to buy some for their friends and families. Thus, "Red Brindle Boutique" was born. I began selling at craft shows and actually got an Etsy site many years ago. I'm not a "techie" person, so the Etsy site has virtually sat empty for many years.
About one year ago, I added skirts to my collection and they seem to be a big hit as well. I continue to do shows, but I am asked on a daily basis if I have a website. So, with that being said, and so many people wanting to shop online, I have been compelled to become more active with my Etsy site.
Each item is designed and sewn personally by me. There are days when I think I should hire some help, but so far this is a "one woman" production. I hope you enjoy what you see!
