Jennifer Bowman

I'm a reporter at the south-central Michigan-based Battle Creek Enquirer. Using both words and multimedia, I cover mostly government and economic development.

I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in journalism from San Diego State University, where I was a web contributor and food blogger for its daily student newspaper. At the same time, I completed internships at the San Diego Union-Tribune and NBC San Diego. I also was the news editor at the Pacemaker award-winning student newspaper, The Southwestern College Sun.

I'm a baseball fan (Go Padres), a mother to a 26-pound pug named Maximus -- and, like all the good ones, proudly left-handed.
