Jennifer Kitt

Jennifer Kitt serves as a Media Relations Communicator for The Dow Chemical Company. In this role, Jennifer is responsible for strategically engaging and promoting Dow as “The Science and Technology Company,” with key stakeholders on the Company’s enterprise channels. These channels include print publications, broadcast and social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn). She is also responsible for measuring and reporting key corporate affairs metrics to the public affairs function and executive company leaders.

In 2010 Jennifer joined Dow as the Public Affairs Manager for Business Services. In this role, she oversaw the strategic communications planning for the Information Systems group and the Next Enterprise Architecture (NEA) project. Jennifer conducted several public affairs projects during her time in this role including creating employee recognition programs, securing external awards for Business Services and coordinating the Information Technology 75th anniversary event.

Jennifer began her career as the Press Office Coordinator for the Georgia State Senate Press Office in Atlanta, Ga. In this role, she coordinated press conferences, secured media interviews and provided social media services for the 56 members of the Georgia State Senate.

In her spare time Jennifer works with the White Pine Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) as a member of their executive board, supports the Saginaw Valley University’s Diversity Council, is a member of the Mu Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and spends time with her family and friends.

She holds a Master of Science degree in Health Communications from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from the University of Alabama.
