Jennifer Palmer
Investigative Reporter in Norman, OK
Hello, I’m Jennifer. I’m an investigative reporter at Oklahoma Watch in Oklahoma City. I started my career at a scrappy weekly in northern New Mexico, covering police and courts, where my reporting led to the ouster of a prominent judge. I then spent several years at the Omaha World-Herald, covering breaking news, including the Westroads Mall shooting in 2007. Most recently, I worked for The Oklahoman’s watchdog desk, covering criminal justice, clemency and other topics. My work has been recognized with awards in education and investigative reporting. I'm a native of Norman and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where I was once a columnist for The Oklahoma Daily. You can read my work here. I'm honored to be a PBS Frontline Local Journalism Initiative partner for 2020 for a project on Epic Charter Schools.
