I am a Penn State University graduate with a major in Veterinary and Biomedical Science and a minor in Biology. I'm currently working at Disney's Animal Kingdom as a Nutrition Assistant in the Animal Nutrition Center.

I grew up in Montoursville, PA with my mom and dad, older sister, and younger brother.

My hobbies include reading, drawing, enjoying the outdoors, DIY craft projects, building/restoring furniture, and playing video games. I love to laugh, so I try to surround myself with people who share a good sense of humor.

My general goal in anything I do is to learn, inform, and help. I love learning new things and sharing my knowledge with others. I really dislike misinformation and ignorance, so I try to keep myself and others current and informed in my particular areas of interest and skill.

I have a very strong urge to help others, which has guided me towards a career in animal care and has inspired my activity in various charities. I have involved myself in Relay for Life, the American Red Cross, Kiva, and the Penn State Dance Marathon (a.k.a. THON). I look forward to the future when I'm able to add even more organizations to that list such as the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

I hope to one day become a strong example for others to become more involved in conservation and preservation efforts. Wherever life takes me and whatever I end up doing, I want it to involve learning from, inspiring, and helping others.
