In addition to her role as an Orange County Commissioner, Jennifer Thompson is a small business owner and is active in her local community and sits on numerous business and charitable boards. As an elected official she sits on the board for MetroPlan Orlando, the Children and Family Services Board and the Central Florida Research Park Board Authority.

Commissioner Thompson resides in Avalon Park with her husband and two dogs.
