Jennifer Borg

A respected senior executive and attorney, Jennifer Borg has immersed herself in a number of charitable endeavors. A board member of Hackensack University Medical Center, Ms. Borg also serves on the hospital's Foundation board and the Advisory Committee. Jennifer Borg also served on the Board of the Urban League for Bergen County, which advises community members in subjects ranging from employment to tax credit financing. Jennifer Borg also served on the boards of The Dwight Englewood School and the Marilyn Horne Foundation, as well as on the Board of Governors of The Hotchkiss School.

Maintaining involvement in nonprofit organizations, she currently serves on the boards of Programs for Parents, Table to Table, and the Eddie Adams Workshop in its various pursuits. As a 16-year veteran of the newspaper publishing industry, Jennifer Borg contributes to her profession by serving as President of the New Jersey Press Association and as a board member of both the Association and the New Jersey Press Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aims to inspire student journalists. She is also the founder and President of the North Jersey Media Group Foundation, which provides goods and services to people in need.

In addition, Ms. Borg is a founding member of Women United in Philanthropy, Bergen County's first women's giving circle. She also volunteers at Fighting Chance in Sag Harbor, New York, which provides free counseling and services to cancer patients and their families. Professionally, Ms. Borg has served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary with North Jersey Media Group Inc. since 1995.

As the company's chief legal counsel, she oversees the legal work for two daily newspapers, over 50 community newspapers, several websites, and the company's commercial printing business. She handles a myriad of legal issues for the publications, which includes championing First Amendment rights and rights of access to licensing of copyrights and other intellectual property matters, as well as managing the company's legal transactions. An alumna of Columbia Law School, Jennifer Borg started her legal career at Breed, Abbott & Morgan, a law firm in New York City. After a three-year tenure, she joined Proskauer Rose LLP, where she concentrated on employment and labor law.
