Jennifer Goncalves

Hello Class,

I'm thrilled to be working with you this semester! I bring over a decade of experience in early childhood education as a lead preschool teacher, along with nearly another decade in higher education at Nashville State. It's an honor to help guide the next generation of educators. I'm a proud member of NAEYC and a Certified Family Life Educator through the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR).

Beyond the classroom, I'm also a children's book author with three published titles available on Amazon. My latest book, Jenny Hightower, celebrates diversity and the importance of recognizing and appreciating our differences.

Outside of work, I cherish time with my family. My husband, Mike, works in entertainment—you might catch him on Haunted Towns (Discovery+) or Ghost Mob (Amazon). We have one amazing son, Liam, who keeps life joyful and adventurous. Parenting is both a beautiful and humbling journey! We also share our home with two beloved pups: Jäger, our Boxer, and Ruby Sue, a King Charles Cavalier.

In my free time, I enjoy running and singing on the praise team at my church.
