Jennifer Grieves
Marine Corps Pilot in Ashland, VA
A recipient of 10 medals from the United States Marine Corps, LtCol Jennifer Grieves has served her country for 28 years. As a helicopter pilot, a trainer, and an administrator, LtCol Jennifer Grieves has been stationed in several places in the US, Japan, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa. Her individual accomplishments are too numerous to list, but several stand out.
After Marine basic training in Parris Island, South Carolina, LtCol Grieves ranked second in her class out of boot camp and first inter class out of administrative school. Later responsibilities included data entry and administrative management of personnel for some 19,000 officers.
Several years later, LtCol Grieves demonstrated excellence in flight training. She served in the second Gulf War aboard the Navy's U.S.S. Iwo Jima aircraft carrier, flying and coordinating the time-critical operations off the flight deck. In 2005, LtCol Grieves was chosen as a pilot for the Marine One Executive Flight Squadron, personally transporting President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama. She also fulfilled many executive duties as she traveled with the White House Military Office.
LtCol Grieves holds a master’s degree with honors from the Joint Service and Government Agency College. She has several Meritorious Service Medals, Individual Action and Strike/Flight Air Medals, and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, as well as a Combat Action Ribbon. Residing in Ashland, Virginia, she enjoys reading, camping, working out, and attending Broadway plays.
