A former staffer at the New York Review of Books and a former contributing editor of the Washington Post Book World, I'm now a senior reporter at the Chronicle of Higher Education, where I write about the humanities, publishing, libraries, and other neat stuff. I've published reviews, essays and features in the Washington Post, the Boston Review, Slate, Salon, Bookforum and other publications.
