My name is Jennifer Kimpel, and I’m running for Rolla City Council, Ward 3 because this is my home—and I care about how decisions are made for the people who live here.

I’m a long-term Rolla resident and a parent of three kids in Rolla Public Schools. Like a lot of families, our life is full—school, activities, work, and the day-to-day logistics that make you appreciate good planning and practical leadership.

I’m an outpatient nurse by training, and now I work as an educator—helping people navigate complex systems, understand what’s changing, and build confidence through clear communication.

Outside of work, I stay involved through volunteering, advocacy, and supporting local programs in the arts, youth activities, and education.

Alongside work and family life, I’m continuing my own education—balancing learning, responsibility, and long-term planning the same way many families do.

To me, City Council is about representing your ward and helping make decisions that consider impact, concerns, risks, and benefits—especially when issues are complicated and emotions run high. City decisions affect everyday life: how resources are used, how neighborhoods grow, and how well the city communicates with the people it serves. I’m running because I believe Ward 3 deserves thoughtful, prepared representation and clear communication people can actually follow.
