Dr. Jennifer Lininger
Culminating in a position at the Troyer Weigel Eyecare facility as an optometrist, Dr. Jennifer Lininger’s training in optometry has been put to full use. A graduate of St. Teresa’s Academy in Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Jennifer Lininger started her collegiate education at the University of Missouri-Columbia, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. Dr. Jennifer Lininger next attended Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Here, Dr. Jennifer Lininger received a Bachelor’s in Vision Science and a Doctorate in Optometry, and also completed a course in business management at the university’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. After her studies, Dr. Jennifer Lininger completed two externships in the optometry field. For these externships, Dr. Jennifer Lininger spent time at The Eye Institute in Melbourne, Florida, and the Braverman Eye Center in the Miami area. Dr. Jennifer Lininger trained in contact lenses, pediatric care, ocular disease, and the measurement of depth perception, color vision, and ocular alignment. A member of the American Optometric Association and the Kansas Optometric Association, Dr. Jennifer Lininger’s first professional work in optometry came in the form of the Mason Eye Institute in Columbia, Missouri, where she was an assistant to the Ophthalmic Photographer, filing photos of eye interiors and helping with office work. Next, Dr. Jennifer Lininger worked with Cibis Eye Care, filling more of a primary care role and participating in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Now at Troyer Weigel Eyecare, Dr. Jennifer Lininger continues to put her experience and education to work.
