Jennifer Lane

I have worked a wide-range of roles, including positions in administration, visuals, merchandising, hospitality, sales, and management.

I am an alumnus of the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, Class of 2005.

I began my internship with Ted Baker London and after a year was offered a full time position. I acted as right hand to the CEO of the US Wholesale division. I merchandised the men's tailored and sportswear lines, as well as the women's showroom collections. I was the sole in-store Visual Merchandiser for all US department stores. I managed the New York showroom and worked in Sales as an Account Manager. (2006-2009)

My next role was with Deckers Outdoor Company, working with UGG Australia as a Visual Manager. I directed seven Concept Stores and seven Outlet Stores. I prepared the visual Outlet direction for the entire US. I helped to conceive of and create, with the visual team, a retail visual binder and retail collateral used worldwide. (2010)

I accepted the dual-positions of Merchandiser, for visuals and collections, and Account Executive to the scott james brand. I sold, developed, managed, and merchandised the Men's seasonal collections, which included lifestyle branding, visual merchandising, and creating product seminars, events, and promotions in Department and Specialty Stores. (2011-2013)

I took a position at Lacoste as the first Visual Merchandise Manger for the Outlet Division and built, what is now, the prerequisite of the title. I created and conceptualized all standards, guidelines, and seasonal displays with expertise in advertising and marketing. (2013-2016)

I relocated to California and worked at The End, for Sales and Marketing. I also became a Superhost with Airbnb for 4 properties. (2016-2018)

With limited fashion positions where I resided, I began working with a property management company, Hi Desert Dwellings, as an Area Manager and then to General Manger. I handled all aspects of running a successful short-term rental business, from reservations and communications with guests to cleanings and maintenance. I ensured quality service and customer satisfaction. (2018-2024)

During the pandemic, I moved to Nashville with my young family. I have recently partnered with Tenn Little Birds, for Music Together, to become the studio manager and event specialist, hosting classes that offer hands on exploration through play, crafts, and social interaction. I also work with Winston Retail as a visual merchandiser for select brands. (Current)
