Jennifer McNeely practices in the area of state and federal campaign finance and election law compliance. Prior to joining the Political Law Group, Jennifer worked in various capacities on issues related to election law, legislative consultation, statutory interpretation, administrative law, and regulatory & government affairs on the federal and state level.

Jennifer has extensive state executive and legislative branch work experience, having served in Governor Sonny Perdue's Executive Counsel's Office and Lt. Governor Casey Cagle's Legislative Office. Most recently, Jennifer served as the attorney to Senate Majority Whip Cecil Staton during the 2013 general session of the Georgia General Assembly. During her service in state government, Jennifer advised state officials on a wide range of legal matters related to Georgia's prescription drug monitoring program, campus carry, immigration reform, Georgia's title ad valorem tax, and criminal justice reform. Jennifer worked closely with legislators on restructuring Georgia's ethics and campaign finance laws.

Jennifer also served as a law clerk in the legal counsel's office of the Republican National Committee. During her service at the RNC, Jennifer prepared memos detailing requirements for compliance with federal campaign finance regulations for national and state political parties and PACs, developed and implemented protocols for evaluating copyright and trademark licensing requests made to the RNC, drafted and reviewed vendor contracts to ensure liability protection for the Committee, attended administrative hearings and drafted advisory opinion requests to the Federal Election Commission, created a 50-State campaign finance law and regulations reference catalog, and conducted extensive research on federal campaign finance law post-Citizens United. Jennifer was a member of the legal professional resource team for the 2013 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida.

Jennifer is actively involved in her community and in civic affairs. She is a member of the Republican National Lawyers Association, the Atlanta Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society, the Georgia Women Lawyers Association and treasurer of the Georgia Black Republican Coucil.

Jennifer is a Georgia native, receiving her undergraduate degree from Georgia State University and her law degree from the University of Georgia. Jennifer and her husband Michael live in the suburbs of Atlanta.
