I am an educator committed to promoting citizenship and 21st century skills. I believe in a unique approach to social studies instruction, including performance based learning, role-play, debate and discussion, and connecting learning across disciplines.
I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Education from Saint Michael's College in Colchester, VT where I also earned my Masters degree in Education. More recently I completed advanced graduate study in Literacy & Technology from UNE. I have a background in theater and performance. Connecting learning to all forms of art, including visual and performing arts, is my passion.
I believe in experiential learning, including community service and field experiences. I am also dedicated to multicultural education, and telling all facets of a story within the context of history and making connections to our time.
